Lawrence has over 25 years’ experience as one of the UK’s leading singing teachers and vocal coaches.
He has taught some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, ranging from pop icon Ella Henderson to the West End’s Charlie Stemp. He has taught movie actors including Daisy Ridley, Lily James and James Norton, as well as Netflix star Bart Edwards.
Currently Head of Singing at Laine Theatre Arts, Lawrence has taught at many of the top musical theatre institutions in the country, including Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, Mountview and Bird College. His graduates can be heard in every professional musical theatre production in the UK and in productions across the world.
He is a trained Mental Health First Aider and specialises in supporting trans+ vocalists.
Lawrence is available for private 1:1 sessions to focus on repertoire, audition preparation, technique and interpretation. An Estill-trained teacher, he is particularly concerned with the vocal health of his students and is deeply experienced in helping students overcome technical, psychological and physiological problems to perform at the highest standards. He provides lessons in person or online.
